What You’ll Need
What you need to open a business account with PMCU, depends on how your business is setup. Below is a breakdown organized by type of business entity.
Sole proprietorship
- Trade Name Registration (date stamped)
- SSN, ITIN or EIN
- Valid photo ID
General or Limited Partnerships (LTD) or
Limited Liability Partnerships (LLP)
- Partnership Registration or Articles of Organization
- Certified Partnership Agreement (LLP) – must include names of the partners – if names are not included, Meeting Minutes would be required
- Articles of formation (if names are not listed in partnership agreement)
- Valid photo ID
Limited Liability Company (LLC)
- Certified Articles of Organization
- LLC agreement*
- All owners must be on the account unless stated otherwise in the LLC Agreement
- EIN or SSN if solely owned
- Valid photo ID
*If individually owned or owned by a married couple, LLC agreement is not required. Meeting minutes may be required to determine ownership and duties
Corporation or nonprofit-C Corp and S Corp
- Certified Articles of Incorporation
- Bylaws – needed if names are not listed in Articles of Incorporation, or the Articles reference bylaws
- Certification of Formation
- Meeting minutes listing who is responsible for the account are required if all owners named in the Articles or bylaws are not on the account.
- EIN
- Valid photo ID
Organization or Association
- Meeting minutes or Organizational Docs
- EIN
- Valid photo ID
